A Bolt-on Retrofit For All Gemco Ultra Shear, High Shear and Low Shear Agitators.

Gemco has developed a revolutionary sealing arrangement for the agitator to address the problem of particle migration. Sealing a rotating shaft against powder intrusion is a losing proposition so we eliminated all the dynamic shaft seals and replaced them with static O-rings. We then sealed the gap perpendicular to the shaft with concentric lip seals.

Shaft run out no longer matters. Each concentric seal is self energized to meet with the face. Any pressure build up inside the vessel actually works to help keep the rotating lip seal in better contact with the non-rotating face.

Valve and retractable sleeve combine for
dustless transfer of powders.

Loading and unloading powders that are air sensitive, hazardous, high-value or any material where spillage or dusting cannot be tolerated is achieved by combining the technologies of the GemcoValve and the Gemco Retractable Sleeve.


A mobile vessel or container is located so the Retractable Sleeve engages and seals automatically. Once the seal is confirmed the GemcoValve opens allowing material to transfer safely and efficiently.

The sleeve valve combination is available in sizes from 3" to 24" in a variety of materials and finishes with different stroke lengths and mounting configurations. Other options include inflatable seals for hazardous environment, spring-return air cylinder for fail-safe operation, metal bellows for high-pressure applications and "clean in place fittings".
